06/10/2008 - 2009 San Manuel Band of Mission Indians/L&M Racing Supercross Team

Yamaha Motor Corporation is most pleased and excited to welcome James Stewart and Kyle Chisholm to the Yamaha Championship Family for the 2009 season as part of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians/L&M Team.

A six time AMA MX/SX Champion James brings a level of excitement to everything he does that is unrivaled in the world of Motocross and Supercross. With tremendous character and charisma on and off the track Stewart could easily be compared to Yamaha’s own 8 time Road Racing World Champion Valentino Rossi. Considered to be one of the best to ever throw a leg over a motorcycle, James comes off a perfect season and has high expectations for his new bike and team for the 2009 season.

“When I decided I was ready for a change I definitely knew I wanted to ride a Yamaha”, said James Stewart. “I called San Manuel Band of Mission Indians/L&M Team Owner Larry Brooks and was really happy he was able to make it all happen”.

Teammate and fellow Florida native, Kyle Chisholm was a top amateur just a few years ago and at 6’ tall is the right size to make his pro debut in the Supercross Class on a YZ450F. “I know I face a tough challenge, but I’m really excited about riding a YZ450F and proving myself in the Supercross class”, said new team member Kyle Chisholm.

“Our relationship with the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians/L&M Team has been great”, said Racing Division manager Keith McCarty. “With a Supercross Championship in 2008 and the addition of James and Kyle for 2009, we’re sure it will be an exciting season”.

Both Stewart and Chisholm will be racing Supercross on the new Yamaha YZ450F

I rode a Talsarn as cotwolds was cancelled. My first race went well, i had a good jump out the gate and was 2nd into the first corner and i held second all race. In the next race i got caught in the gate so i had a terrible start, i started to make my way through the pack but had a 6th due to mechanical problems late in the race. The third race went well too, i didnt have a too good start but it wasnt bad, again i got back up to second and was closing on the leader but i ran out of laps! i finished 2nd overall.

15/04/2008 - Ride MX Sponsor speedway rider Chris Harris

Ride MX have teamed up with Chris Harris for 2008. He rides for Coventry Bees and is racing in the GP's and UK major races.

CHRIS HARRIS - GB Age: 25.

British career history: St Austell (1998), Exeter (1999-2000), Trelawny (2001), Trelawny & Peterborough (2002-03), Coventry (2004-present).

CHRIS has seen his career take huge strides forward in the last three years, culminating in his magnificent victory at the 2007 British Grand Prix.

One of the most exciting riders in the sport, Chris saw his fortunes change in early 2005 when he made several changes to his set-up after initially struggling with the step up to the Elite League.

Finished second to his then team-mate Scott Nicholls in the 2005 British Championship and fourth in 2006 before reacing the top step of the podium in 2007 at Wolverhampton, beating David Howe and Nicholls.

His Elite League form reached consistent heat-leader standard midway through the 2006 season, and he has not looked back since, making significant gains on his average year by year.

2007 was his best yet as he helped Coventry to the Elite League treble, posted an actual average in excess of nine - and his win at Cardiff gave 40,000 fans one of the greatest-ever speedway races as he first overhauled Leigh Adams and Jason Crump before getting the better of Greg Hancock on the very last bend.

Chris was unlucky to finish just outside the top eight in the GP series overall after a controversial run-off in Gelsenkirchen, but he was an automatic choice for a seeded place again in 2008. He will also go into his fifth season with Coventry as the Bees' highest-averaged rider.

Hoping to attend a couple of mid-week international events and to get the chance to be a part of the British team for the UK round of the IMBA Championships. The team will be riding a VMC chassis powered by a Husaberg 650 Engine. We would like to take the chance to thank our sponsors RIDE MX, MDR, WULFSPORT, RIP AND ROLL, DOUG WOODS AT BICKERS, KAMAR, BEVAL FINANCE, SWERVE RACEWEAR, SCOTT BALSILLE and CGI for all their generous input to the season so far! Check for updates on www.sidecarmonkeys.co.uk.
